COMMUNITY AFFAIRS

Community Affairs & Public Outreach plays a critical role in the Palisades Park Police Departments continual approach to strengthening community relationships and trust.  This relationship is forged through interaction with community members, young and old, through public outreach and other events.  Programs like L.E.A.D. and the Junior Police Academy provide our youth with enrichment, diversion, and intervention programs, helping to reduce youth crime.  Community affairs officers stay closely connected with the community and out schools.

On January 9, 2024, members of the Palisades Park Police Department was gratefully invited to meet with the kindergarten students at Notre Dame Elementary School in honor of National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day.  The police officers were able to speak and answer the student’s questions.  The Palisades Park Police Department is thankful for this opportunity as it is committed to continually forging bonds with our schools and the youths of our community.

Pictured along with the students is Chief Anthony Espino, Officer Michael McDermott, Officer Christian Sisco, and Officer Chang Han.
